146 Branch overview

Here are some updated pictures of 146 obviously the main north dual track is where Lake Macq is the only concern is access to the servo and small business / and homes is what to do about a level crossing . A few
decisions and soon these 2 end module to be reconnected to the main modules 142 (Fassifern)

Austrains FO decals

Question were asked on aus.mod.rail forum about the Austrains FO decals.I received my ones at Epping this year ,just ask for them . This is what I was handed, lol. And no booklet explaining what went on what car .

North142and146

Small name change of my blog , because I've moved house and had to pull up my layout. As it was,137 Awaba at this stage has not been added . ATM the layout, I will focus on 142(Fassifern) and 146(Toronto) , shape will be dog bone with 146 at one end and Newstan branch the other end. Here are some more pictures how 146 is going . Flickr has been a huge help finding a pictures, I skimmed over one at first because it was in colour. It was taken from the water looking at the station it has a 620 at the station still has the Parachute water tank and the overhead walkway insitu."Toronto Railway Station and Hotel from the water before Riva Apartments and before Victory Theatre burnt down" .Google earth also helped in research also. Im still looking for a close up of the goods shed at the end of the yard and the old Hirecraft building . I found a picture of a T&R FO planted in the building. Here are some more pictures of how its going. Just placing buildings I've have to get a feel. Anyone know what year the Tank and the Walkway were removed?? just as a matter of interest.

Starting to add scenery this is where the old Toronto Station and yard was situated, you can see where the old track has been lifted.Behind the trees is where the crossover at Fassifern is on the Sydney end.

HUB car Buffet /Second RFH 2233

For this shade of tint I used a "Tudor" green document folder bought at office supplies stripped using a Tracksetta gauge and glued onto the existing windows with kwik grip .

Tinted Windows experiment for HUB cars

I went up to the shops with one of my daughters to buy her School books for the year and helping her choose what she needed i saw green see through soft plastic covers. I bought 3 different shades of green and I already think the lightest green will do the job as once both sides are done it will seem darker.Here is what I bought as well as tamiya translucent green .I will post pics soon experiment

Eureka HUB Car PFH2217

Hi All Happy New year !!

Here is a series of pictures of Eureka models HUB car PFH2217. I dont know anything about the car so I wont compare it to the real thing . Well worth the wait I might have to add 2 more cars to make up the Flyer later on . Place it on the track and the interior light comes on as well as rear red markers. Windows are clear . Now need to buy some passengers and fill the seats.
